WHY TRUSTED?
Hello!
My name is Hywel. It is a Welsh name, given to a boy born in Oxford who grew up near Manchester and works all over the place. Maybe that's why I love to travel.
I love the trip forum sites, and I think travel agents are (mostly) good people. But whenever my wife and I go to a new city for a couple of days I just wish for somewhere between the two... I might not have time to sift through message boards, trying to work out who's opinion to side with (are they complaining about a hotel because the wall was falling down? Or are they complaining because their caviar wasn't the right temperature?). Its all so subjective.
At the same time as me wanting this advice, I also found myself advising others on the cities I visit a lot - including Paris, Miami, and Vegas (married - Mount Charleston 2014) - and my heart would SINK when I realised a travel agent had sold them an OK hotel, but one that was just in the wrong place for a good time. I wish they'd come to me instead, 'Trust me', I said...
And so, I decided to create 'Trusted'. I use people's advice who REALLY know a city, but also who really know what is needed for the very first time. Let's face it, if you go to Paris, you want to visit the Eifel Tower, but you also want to know the best hotels in a central location, near a good breakfast... You get the idea.
Our challenge: To provide honest, simple, and boiled down advice about a city that will give you the basics. Independent, honest, and in it for the helping.
We pick the absolute best, basic advice, and if you want to explore further you can. If you book by clicking anything through our site, we get a % of your booking.
