Inbetween-logo-black.png

By 'inbetween' we mean anywhere outside of what we think are the Trusted centre-points for location.  Places just a little further...

People will ask: are you staying 'on the strip' or 'downtown'?  But there are others... Sometimes luxury, often bargain, or others offered in package deals.  Nothing wrong with many of them, but we hate seeing people end up somewhere geographically that they feel let down by.  Let Trusted guide you...

The Stratosphere.

A great place to visit.  Drink cocktails in the bar, or ride the rides on top, the view at any time of day is phenominal, the view at sunset is something not to be missed. In terms of staying there... Its certainly got the old school downtown charm, just be aware its not within walking distance of anywhere you'd want to walk to at night! Perfect if you hire a car or get the bus. This is a very VERY CHEAP option, if you want to do Vegas on a budget but still have access to a fun hotel, take a look at The Strat.

Luxur, Excalibur, New york New york.

These hotels are regularly given in package deals, and they sound very exciting.
And true!  Luxur is a pyramic, New York New York has a rollar coaster, and Excalibur is a castle...
But in our opinion, you should compare the price you're given at these for one of Trusted's On The Strip reccomendations before committing.
We would highly reccomend heading for Bally's or Flamingo's if you want budget strip.
Or, especially with kids, New York New York is the best of this bunch, it has lots going on there, and is brighter and less oppressive than Luxor and Excalibur.

Hooters

If you are really looking for a bargain, Hooters is perhaps the most like a normal 3 star hotel in other cities, TINY compared to the other hotels, and they do great buffalo wings.  It is not connected to other hotels, so involves a small walk over the road in the heat to get into the MGM.  But along with the Stratosphere this is for people who care less about star rating but want to be near the action.

For the Traveller who cares not for The Strip

If you are just passing through Vegas, or if you like the idea of being right on the edge of the Desert, take a look at the Aliante Casino + Hotel

A drive away: 30 mins from the Strip.  This is a fantastic hotel, more for people who like thier pool, hotel, and maybe some golf!  If you want to have 'the vegas experience' this isn't for you (without taxi's or driving).

But if you like the idea of having some Vegas in your vacation, whilst watching the sunset over the Nevada mountains, then check this place out.

Steve Wynn said 'the strip should do luxury' and he created The Wynn.  He raised the bar for the strip, if you want to stay in pure luxury aim for his two hotels Wynn and Encore, next door.  They toward the North end of the strip, and a mile or so from the trusted's central point, but when a hotel is this good, who needs a fountain?

Mandalay Bay

Life on the beach in Vegas.  Mandalay bay is a wonderful hotel and you'll either get a view of the strip, or of the airport because you a right at the very end of the strip.  Take an elevator to the bar on the top floor, sit and enjoy a full view of this crazy city at night. You'll need to drive, take a taxi, or just jump on the trolly/monorail system which begins right here.

The MGM Grand

This hotel is simply massive. It is rare to walk around MGM without getting lost.  It is dark, but vast, and those who stay there absolutely love it!  Hakkassan night club is there, along with lots of eating, theatres, the lot.  If you get a good deal here, then you'll enjoy yourself.  Be aware, it is one of the largest hotels on Planet Earth.  You will walk.  And walk....

The Venetian.

A top visiting spot and is the busiest hotel in the world, it's huge.  A big hit with those who stay there, a must-visit to see how you feel about the indoor-Venice shopping centre, like the MGM this hotel is HUUGE. (And everything is huge in Vegas, but this one... Wow).
